How to compare quotes from Chinese suppliers
The cheapest quote is not always the cheapest product. A fair comparison needs the same specifications and the full cost picture.
Standardise specifications first
Make sure every supplier quotes the same material, size, finish, packing and quantity. Otherwise you compare different products.
What to compare
Put quotes in one table with fixed columns: unit price, MOQ, production time, packing type, pieces per carton, carton dimensions and weight, payment terms, and whether delivery to the Yiwu warehouse is included.
Calculate cost to your country
Two quotes at the same price can differ greatly in freight if carton sizes differ. The cheaper unit can become the more expensive one after calculating cubic metres, duties and local delivery.
