Preparing one shipment from several Chinese factories
Buying from several suppliers is normal for Yiwu traders. The challenge is turning many deliveries into one organised shipment.
1. One delivery address
Give every supplier the same warehouse address and your shipment code to mark on each carton.
2. One schedule
Keep a table of each supplier's items, quantities and expected delivery dates.
3. Plan the timing
The shipment leaves when the last supplier delivers, so follow up on slow suppliers early.
4. Checks on receipt
Each delivery is counted and compared with the supplier's packing list; shortages or visible damage are reported to you.
5. One packing list and invoice
Once everything is in, a single packing list is prepared for the whole shipment, which simplifies clearance at destination.
